Dateline NBC will not air a regular Friday night mystery episode on May 22, 2026, due to NBC’s coverage of the NBA Western Conference Finals. Instead, the network will broadcast Game 3 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs.
The playoff matchup airs live from Frost Bank Center in San Antonio as the Thunder and Spurs continue their battle for a spot in the NBA Finals. The series is currently tied 1-1 after Oklahoma City defeated San Antonio 122-113 in Game 2.
Coverage is expected to begin Friday evening with pregame programming leading into tipoff. Regular Dateline programming is scheduled to return the following week.
