Dateline NBC will not air in its usual time slot on Friday, February 6, 2026, as NBC shifts its primetime programming to feature live coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony from Milan, Italy.

Airing from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM ET, The Olympics: Primetime in Milan will showcase the Parade of Nations and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron at the iconic San Siro Olympic Stadium. The ceremonial broadcast kicks off what promises to be an exciting Winter Games, highlighting athletes from around the world as they gather to celebrate global competition and unity.

Dateline is expected to return to its regular schedule in the following weeks. In the meantime, viewers can stream previous episodes on Peacock or the NBC app.
